Bizarre.
7 apps, 1 per chain, and only for users of a single device on one network in any given country?
I completely do not understand this.
I have yet to use any hotel chain's mobile site, so I honestly don't know if any of them are doing it well.
Maybe the idea is to rapidly roll out apps to Droid, Pre, Windows Mobile, etc. in the near future. I can see why there's more value in an app on the device than simply a mobile site. But I still don't get the need for 7 apps in the slightest. One app, with the user selecting or unselecting individual brands, would be much better.
