What they said (minus the part about staying in the burbs). Check air pricing first and be sure you can get a decent rate. Then your best bang for the buck likely will be one of the larger 4-star properties. I wouldn't necessarily avoid Luxor if you like everything else about it, the south strip can be fun too. Other properties where you usually can find great deals are MGM Grand and Monte Carlo. Planet Hollywood is desperate for business right now as well, and it's located closer to center Strip. The aforementioned Mirage and TI have good locations as well.
