Ended up going thru LAX on AA 283 via AA 6764 code share/AS (gets into HNL at 2:25 pm).
The return is AS 852 (departs HNL 2:10 pm and arrives SEA 9:58 pm)
Paid $80 more than my original ticket, but much happier with the arriving/departing times. BTW, NW Rez really didn't give me that many options.
