I received an e-mail today on some reservations I had for my family for a trip to Hawaii. Our original return flight was:

Flight: NW 2220
From: Honolulu, Hawaii
To: Seattle, Washington
Departure Time: April 4, 12:50 pm
Arrival Time: April 4, 9:31 pm

We have been changed to this:

Flight: NW 2284
From: Honolulu, Hawaii
To: Seattle, Washington
Departure Time: April 4, 9:10 pm
Arrival Time: April 5, 5:46 am

I have called NW/Delta and the former flight is now off of the schedule and the redeye is the only other option on NW. I do not want the redeye as I am traveling with my family and I don't think redeye will work very well for my kids.

The only thing they would offer me was a refund on the tickets. I don't want that.

I suspect they will put that afternoon flight back on the schedule at some point, but they will leave me on the other flight.

What am I missing, do I have any other options?
