Your perceptions are simply wrong.
As others have pointed out, you stay at a Marriott Timeshare resort and not at a Marriott hotel property. There are distinct differences between them.
The daily rate for the full timeshare suite at that location is in excess of $300 per night (a 2BR suite with a full kitchen, master BR with jacuzzi + second BR)
You do not stay in a "standard room", you stay in the lockoff portion ( the 2nd bedroom) of the suite. The lockoff is the size of a large hotel room with a small kitchenette and is nicely appointed.
As to not being able to stay late the next day. You are at a timeshare resort with its own checkout policy. Normal checkout at these timeshares is 10 or 11 AM.
Your Platinum status is meaningless here. You receive a $90 a night courtesy rate which is a fair deal for the room.
The cold room issue should have been promptly taken of by the reception desk -- I would let them know emphatically about this problem.
Excuse the pun Trojanhorse, but aside from the heat problem, I think you look a gift horse in the mouth when you stay at a Marriott TS for that price.
