Thinking-I agree that this is a great property for playing golf, the courses are fantastic. I have played in a tournament at Ford's Colony the last several years, last year my family decided to come so I booked the MVCI property. The grounds are beautiful and you cant beat the convenience to the golf course.

I will admit that I was expecting more of a full service Marriott experience but I will give anything a chance. This place still disappointed. Here is a more thorough overview.

Was given a room in the building that was as far in the back as you could get. Inadequate parking caused me to walk 300' to the entrance of my building (with luggage and 2 kids) Elevator broken--had to use steps. Washer & Dryer broken--called desk they said "walk over to another building".
Pool was convenient but small. Room was roughly "a Springhill Suites" with cathederal ceilings. No balcony and a view of the road.
If I was there with golfing buddies or just my wife this place would have been fine. It was just a struggle with the kids.

If I am to undertand that I received a "locked off portion of a suite" I am more aggravated about my experience. I understand the timeshare process-I appreciate the fine dining, but I am also a loyal Marriott Platinum member (yea I know status doesn't mean anything at MVCI)who should have been given a bigger room. If the playing field is going to be so different at the MCVI properties, IMHO they should take them out of the directories and off the web site.
