I don't see how you can ever guarantee that on any flight. I've taken both the BOS and JFK dayflights and wouldn't say I noticed much difference to be honest - all of them had periods of the seatbelt signs being switched on I think.

The best thing to 'avoid' turbulence feeling too bad would be to sit as far forward as possible I think.
