Has anyone ever taken the JFK-LHR BA day flight ? Is it true that the flight is very smooth and turbulance free ?

I need to take my father to LHR, who is very scared from flying planes, and I want to make sure that we take the least turbulance flight across the atalntic. We are expected to fly on the thanks giving week end (end of November)
