According to their website they only allow 1 checked bag, but allow their Elite members an extra bag, It doesn't however tell you if OW elites get treated the same. Does any body know?

My wife and I have a award on Malev on the PRG-BUD route in J, however, we are flying on paid Y tix to IST from BUD w/ MV, so would we need to pay for our 2nd bag?

With regards to BA, I flew LAX-LHR-AMS last week and was PLAT w/ 2 bags. The lady at T5 where I checked in for the LHR-AMS flight asked for my bag tags. I wonder if I wasn't a PLAT if I had to pay for the 2nd bag?

My in laws (GLD status) are flying ATH-LHR (overnight) - LAX on BA and AA, with the OP's experience Im sure they will have to pay for their 2nd bag.
