Back when I first signed up for the Courtyard Club, I remember a promo to get Courtyard Club Gold for life. I qualified easily that year.

With the consolidation of Courtyard Club into Marriott Rewards, I was comped with Silver status -- about the same as CC Gold. However, more recently I havn't been staying much at Marriott hotels (most of my meetings are at Hiltons) and find that I'm back to "regular" status.

Anyone know what happened to the "for life" part of the deal?

I'm planning to give a call to MR for an explaination...
