Hmmm, interesting. If UA does start ORD-FCO, that will give them as many destinations in Europe from ORD as AA. Both AA and UA will serve LHR, BRU, CDG, FRA, and FCO. AA will serve MAN and DUB while UA will serve MUC and AMS.
Don't bother benchmarking the slow kids. Delta offers 28 European destinations out of JFK and 20 out of Atlanta in the summer 2010 schedules. CO from EWR may have that many, too.
