Just got back from a weekend MR mattress run from YEG to YYC and Canmore. I needed 2 nights to take advantage of the 3 paid stays for the "Take Two" current promo (my third being a previously-booked Marriott Kauai holiday in early Dec.). Besides requalifying for the MR Silver, I wanted the 2 free weekend nights to use on trip to Europe next March where prices can be much higher.

The Marriott YYC is very central, located right at the base of the YYC Tower. Staff very friendly and efficient and were nice enough to upgrade me to nicer, smoking floor room. Lots of my favorite comfy chairs in lobby to relax and read the paper while waiting for valet brought the car around.

The next night stayed at Residence Inn Canmore, and was impressed by the creature comforts. Except for oven, had full kitchen with table for 4, 2 T.V.'s , full bathroom and 2 queen beds. Heated underground parking also handy in cooler winter months. Location only real minus, as it's a short drive to center of the quaint mountain town of Canmore, which is approx 1 hour west on the Trans-Canada from YYC and lies just outside the Banff National Park boundary.

So, once gain, Marriott didn't disappoint. Anyone else stay at either of these properties with anything else to add, feel free.
