I am in the process of refinancing right now and they ask that I explain any hard pulls. It's not that hard. You're dealing with people. You just say you want this card, and they understand because they have credit cards, too. As long as you're not opening tons of cards because you can't pay them off and transferring balances all over the place, you shouldn't need to worry about it too much.
