One of my readers sent me this offer from American Express: 50,000 Delta Airlines miles for first purchase, and another 50,000 miles for $10,000 spend in first 6 months.

My two main concerns:

1. Is this offer legit? It seems way too generous, except that it might be simply keeping up with the British Air offer.
2. Terms and conditions say "Offer is nontransferable and applies only to the bearer." My reader has not yet responded to my question about where he got this offer.

I thought I would inquire here before posting this on my website. Thanks for any information you might have on this.
