I have been to IST maybe 30 times and have tried many hotels. best are definitely Ciragan Kempinski and Swissotel. Polat is far from the city, although close to the airport. Just looks like a big hotel without anything fancy. Pool is great if, like me, you like doing laps - although, not a deep pool. If you have the choice for another property try to get closer to the city. But Polat is not the worst choice in IST.
