OP asks "Has anyone suffered a similar experience?"

Most of the replies here seem to belittle what happened rather than answering his question. Yes I am sure we have all swallowed spiders in our sleep and consumed the odd fly while yawning (a reaction brought on by reading posts from Hiddy and Smirnoff not doubt). Point is, dead fly on food is pretty disgusting and yes, the higher the class of cabin the less likely we want to find it.
