The rep I spoke with said that my account would change to Platinum within 24-48 hrs. She said my number would stay the same, so use the card as soon as I notice the change online. So I would recommend that you check your account info tomorrow. If you notice that it's changed to Platinum, go ahead and make a purchase with your current Gold card.
