I had a bizarre situation today. Meeting finished early, I was heading to the airport. I was on a Latitude fare, which had been upgraded online with a NA cert. I was looking for an earlier flight.

The Concierge took my call, started making the change, and then explained he could not, because it was Tango Plus. I insisted it was not. He was all very good natured and by the time I got there, had got me on the flight. I think he thought I was trying to scam him.

I explained how R was the new I, and that the AC system now showed upgraded Latitude fares as Tango Plus .... at least, that's what I see in my online page.

I think people ought to be aware and watch for this.

Andrew, I think a blanket message should go out to staff about this mixup. I'd be pleased to send you my PNR and original flight booking.

If I wasn't SE and didn't have a concierge, I bet a typical GA would have had nothing to do with me in terms of getting me on an earlier flight.
