There are no upgraded rooms at this hotel. I stayed here about 70 times last year. All grades (silver, gold, plat) get rooms in the tower, which is considered a priviledge, I guess. The hikes to some of the rooms down the halls can be long.

I always enjoyed staying at the San Mateo Marriott. Even though my business was always in the Sunnyvale/Santa Clara area, the San Mateo Marriott has upgraded rooms, is alot cleaner and is only about 4 years old after a major overhaul.
