BUT - be advised that if you try to use it at co.com - it will not properly compute the discount - so you need to call co.com tech support at 1-800-300-1547.
Coupons work for best discount on non-hub (start or end), do not work on Fri and Sun, 14 days in advance, and only work on U or higher (U used to be V - the certificate might say V or higher, but they translate to U).
You can go through the booking and enter in the promotional field (coupon type + coupon pin code run together) - but the fare comes out about the same if you do not use the coupon.
Hence - do a booking by selecting U fare (the fare can be say $388+tax for the $100 off - the tax is included in the amount to determine the discount level). Then go through the booking process but do not ticket - then click on the line to phone support and call the tech support desk and have them enter the coupon.
In my case U fare DCA-SNA with coupon would be $427 ai.
If you enter coupon - and it does take it - if computes $405. And says you can buy the ticket without coupon for $407.
But the $100 is to be off the $427, plus there some savings in tax. So if you call tech support and have them enter the coupon. the net in my case is $319. $100 off plus associated tax savings.
I am running into this issue, I'm looking for a MHT-MCO (MHT-CLE-MCO-CLE-MHT) @ 467 (before taxes) and with the cert it's coming up wrong (saying 487.90, or 509.40 without the discount) (not the 100.00 discount I expect). It effectively discounted only 21.50 which makes no sense.
I've followed the rules -- U on outbound, K on return. -- Travel Thursday and Saturday.
Is the ONLY way to make this coupon work right by calling them?
