My Ryanair flight was an hour late, for a one hour flight. FA's spent the entire flight hawking food and toys and charity lotto tickets. Despite their annoying announcements and constant trips up and down the aisle I slept nicely; that was thanks to the turbulence.Pilot was trying to make time, he took a very low approach to PSA and then slammed it into the tarmac; of course, the Italian Pax applauded after landing. (they like doing that; I never understood it..
The only reason I didn't sleep well was the hard seat; after 40 minutes my butt was numb and sore.
I did score an exit aisle on the 738; I paid a few euro extra for priority boarding; I was perhaps the ninth to board, one other person grabbed an exit aisle, all the other priority boarders sat up in the first few rows; that helped them deplane 3 minutes before me.
No one else who sat in exit rows even knew where they were; the two girls sitting in the row in front of mine freaked out when the FA told them it was an exit and asked if they would be willing and able to help; they almost moved.
BTW, as Canarsie will attest, I made it TATL with a single carryon weighing about 17 lbs. (Ryanair has a strict one carry on rule, about 21" x 14" x 8" iirc, and 22 lbs (10 kg), no extra purses, camera bags, or anything. They collect massive checked baggage fees, and I wasn't gonna pay that.
