I have been staying at the Renaissance in St. Augustine, FL for the last 10 or so weeks. I am starting to receive these surveys from Marriott via (snail) mail asking me to rate my stay in a 16 question survey.
My question to Marriott: how the heck do you expect to get any responses if you offer nada, zip, nil in return for filling out the survey? Sometimes these market research types are so clueless...</font>
The one time I wrote negative comments, about the Residence Inn in Windsor, CT; the GM of the hotel was on the phone to me within a week asking what went wrong, how can they improve the hotel, etc.
She offered, and I accepted, 10,000 MR points.
BTW, the Renaissance in St. Augustine is a wonderful place :-). It's great to go down to the lobby in the morning, get a cup of coffee, and listen to the waterfalls.
