I live in the UK and carry the MR credit card. Its fee free and gives 10 nights credit each year effectively givingyou silver status and 10,00 points on first use.

Thereafter you get 2 points per £ on all marriott purchases and 1 point per £ on all other purchases. This is equivalent to 3 points per $ on Marriott, and is comparable to the fee-free USA cards.

Its well worth it in my opinion if you stay regularly at marriotts, which I do and contributes well over 20,000 points each year to my totals!

Wouldn't mind if they brought the Chase affinity card to UK, though. I'd be taking it up
