This seems to be contrary to the Mesa press release that says the turboprops are gone, and doesn't mention the CRJ other than they have not heard what UA's future for them will be. They received notice of one, and no notice of the other...that is sure different than saying that both are gone. If that was true, then UA would have given notice of both.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Mesa-A....html?x=0&.v=1

"PHOENIX, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MESA AIR GROUP, INC. (Nasdaq: MESA - News) today announced that United Airlines has exercised its early termination rights for Mesa's operation of 10 Dash-8 turboprop aircraft under Mesa's code-share agreement with United Airlines. Mesa plans to work with United Airlines on an orderly transition plan, but, in any event, the date of exit from service is expected to be no later than April 30, 2010..."

I believe that fleet was out of DEN.

Your interpretation of a forwarded email from a Mesa pilot seems to be inconsistent with what it says. It says the turboprops have lost UAX, and no notice has been given on the CRJ. While the CRJ MAY lose UAX from them, it states nothing of the sort, only an "unknown future." Given this fact, the title is very misleading, and possibly false. Imagine what such a false rumor could do to Mesa stock? Remember when last year (or was it 2 years ago) a Fla newspaper ran a 7 year old story about UA and chap 11? The stock dropped to $0.01. Stating unsubstantiated things as fact is not always a good idea.

And Excrew, your rumor also is unsubstantiated. I heard (and read) that ASA was picking up IAD flying, not ORD. It is a total of 13 planes, so that would not be a dent in UAX operation if it included both IAD as well as ORD. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/sky...nes-2009-10-20
