If you are travelling in the morning from Euston to Paddington (despite all the cautions) then get a taxi. The distance is not great and you'd have to get an expensive tube ticket as it would be before 0930, so the price difference would not be that great. But like others, I think you'd be better off travelling the night before if your ticket is not flexible.
