I didn't see a thread for this property, so I thought I'd start one....
Stayed here on two separate occasions last week. The hotel is brand new (from the ground up) and has only been open for about a month. I was very excited to see what a brand new Four Points property would be like, so I though I'd write a short review:
Location: Nothing exciting, next to the highway (401 and highway 8) which gets you to Kitchener/Waterloo in about about 10 minutes. Downtown Cambridge is also nearby, but I didn't go there.
Common areas: Welcoming lobby with a fireplace, and two Dell Studio PC's in the corner for guest use in addition to the free wifi that was very fast. Small pool and gym, but nicely done.
The room: Very nice and well designed. Bright washroom with marble counter-top and fantastic glass-enclosed shower (much like the setup at Aloft). Big 37" LCD TV, mini-fridge and microwave in smart shelving-unit that also served as a closet. Comfortable king bed...although I'm not a big fan of the plaid comforter that is part of the 4pts decor "theme".
Overall: Both stays were great, and the only issue I encountered (on BOTH stays actually) is regarding my SPG account. I noticed the paper bill didn't include my SPG info (even though I booked through spg.com). I mentioned this to the staff on check-out (again, both times) and was reassured that the information was actually on file. To date, almost a week after my first visit I still have not received credit (points, or the "stays" themselves) for either stay.
Overall: I'd say that is easily the nicest 4pts property I've stayed at to date (being brand-new certainly helps!) next to the 4pts Mississauga Meadowvale, which is a nicely renovated property. Hopefully the missing points/stays issue will be resolved soon...as I'm working on achieving platinum before my upcoming vacation!
