Now GA's are a different story.
Here's my great DL FA story. Two summers ago I took my then 15 year-old daughter to London with me on my annual pilgrimage to LLoyd's. Her first international trip and first experience up front.
My company is nice enough to pay for a fare class that let's me upgrade to BC/FC on TATL or TPAC, and I used miles for my daughter's FC/BC ticket. On the way home I didn't clear, but about halfway through the flight I went up to check on her.
The FA's were at first bit concerned that I'd wandered up into the forward cabin, but when they learned I was the dad who had allowed his daughter to have the FC/BC seat, they moved me into the crew rest seats, gave me what they could find from the galley and a bottle of bubbly.
They said, "We're all someone's daughter and you did a nice thing for her." I'm a fan of all but a scare few of DL's FA's.
