This situation happened to me about a month ago. My flight from Calgary to MSP had to stop in Fargo, SD. The Plat. agent told me, due to new policy, I had to either choose to try to make the flight with no protection on a later flight, or give up the seat the original flight, and be confirmed on a later flight.

It is a horrible way to handle IROPS.
