Why on earth would a world class leader in hotels EVER put those 4" foam things on their beds is beyond me. I understand there's a considerable cost issue, but the rest of the civilized world uses real mattresses.

Now that Westin has raised the ante, I remember hearing that Marriott has developed a knock-off, but nothing lately. Has that program been derailed due to 9-11? Anyhow, Marriott would be well served by losing all of their foam things, and getting real, high quality beds in their rooms.
