More bad news for Red-tail fans
I am not sure if it is merger-related or not, but I just flew NW385 from GUM to NRT. Several times during the week I checked with NW and DL to see if any upgrade space had opened up. I was not asking for a freebie - I was willing to use miles or cash for the upgrade. I was told Biz Class was full. I asked again at check-in, and one last time at the gate. Each time I got the same answer.
Like a good little idiot I took my coach seat, and never went forward. When we arrived in NRT 3.5 hours later, I found out that there were only 2 passengers in Biz Class. Why the hell would NW/DL want to piss off a Plat member by making him ride in coach while there were 22 empty seats up front?
Grrr.
