In my opinion, the best 'bang for the point' in conversion to AA miles would be one of the Complete Travel Package awards.

For 235-270K points, you get up to 120K AA miles and a week at any Marriott (non-Vacation Club) location worldwide.

Note that if miles are awarded based on destination selected, there are certain strategies that you might want to employ to maximize your miles.
