A readers comment from the HATEMAIL

"Air quality is by far the most likely cause. It is a well known fact that air quality on some aircraft is very bad and those who suffer with asthma or bronchitis are at risk of fainting.
My wife has fainted a couple of times on aircraft as she suffers with asthma. It is the lack of oxygen to the brain that causes fainting.
Modern aircraft save fuel by the way they power the air conditioning and this puts vulnerable people at risk. Nothing will get done about this problem because it involves money so they will ignore it claiming it is a one off!.
Our aviation authority have known about the problem for years but choose to ignore the problem putting lives at risk.
Given the fact that airlines are in trouble financially it is highly likely cost cutting measures are in place and this could include air quality being sacrificed to save fuel."
