As if we need any new disincentives to book DL/NW/KL. I would have booked 4 tickets on DL/NW/KL this weekend, but for several reasons (booking/pricing obstacles) ended up with only one, and my wife will be flying on a CO award ticket.

Now they want to make it easier to jerk your strings once you're booked & flying.

Perhaps this is the rationale behind all the 6-15 hour layovers I was seeing in many itins -- if you have half a day to get to your next connection, protection for the most part becomes unnecessary.
