I generally just book rooms for myself -- but I'm planning a family vacation and got to wondering...

1) Does the number of people in the party affect the price of the room?

2) Is the "max ppl 4" (or whatever) a limit on how many they'll let stay? Or is it an indication the number of pillows available so you'll know to ask for an extra?
