Well, Im PM and it allowed me to, but I was just curious as to what the difference was for the preferred seats. I thought maybe you get a few micro inches of extra leg room but the most plausible of explanations is that, as dollerman73 points out, its for being towards the front of the coach class with power port capabilities.

Also, when does DL allow for the choosing of coach bulk head seats on international flights? Is it at check in? only at the gate? If at the gate, is it set aside for medallion members?
