Nobody's complaining about their life. What you took offense to was a list of areas where CO does not offer more, which was stated in response to an unsubstantiated comment that CO always offers more. And while you don't tolerate "blather," what I don't tolerate is unsubstantiated comments.

Bad: US Air sucks
Good: US Air has a weaker offering because they use plastic in F and don't have IFE.

Does that make US bad? No. Does that make US something you should never pick? No. What if US offers a good fare? What if US has a more convenient schedule? What if you're going to a destination only served by US? What if your flight gets cancelled and US is the only thing the airline can find to get you home tonight?

Why take it personally? It's an airline.

That sounds defeatist. It's most certainly is your perogative if that's how you want to handle something, but I'd rather try to understand competitive aspects and constantly reassess things. That happens through discussion and debate. I was hoping people would respond with some areas I hadn't realized -- just like sbm12 pointed out that CO's TV is better than DL's or B6's. I knew they were different, but didn't realize how different they were. All you could tell me was about CO's behind-the-scenes business arrangement that doesn't really matter to the customer.

From your post it seems that if you don't agree with something, you're not able to counter it with mature debate, and would rather squash a dissenter's view. To use your word, sounds childish to me.
