I was browsing through some of the threads and it seems that getting 'comped' is a pretty tough thing to do. Is there a special number to call for this? It seems like status won't make much of a difference if I'm at a CY but I'm not quite sure where I'll be right now so I want to research my options.

Currently there's a promotion for Govt employees to sign up (not sure how many bonus points are awarded though...or how to do it...if you qualify then call the MR customer service # and they should be able to help you)
