I'm assuming you're referring to the new Courtyard on 2nd Street. I stayed there last month -- the summary: They opened too early. I think it's going to be a very nice hotel, but they hadn't completed the property. Many rooms weren't complete -- the room they gave me had no phone and no shower curtain. There was no hot water for 5 days straight.

As for the area, it's well away from Market Street -- about a 5 (San Francisco) block walk just to Market. Closer to the freeway. That being said, I'd stay there again in another month or so, once they have the kinks worked out.
