Be aware that many 'Jet' flights are now operated by JetKonnect, an all economy, no frills branch of Jet. I doubt that you will get AAdvantage miles for these Jet 'codeshare' flights. JetKonnect flights do accrue AA miles. You can also redeem AA miles on JetKonnect as well as Jet itself.
It's Jet Lite (the former Sahara Airlines -- S2) that neither accrues nor accepts redemptions of AA miles. These flights always have the S2 flight number in the mix of IDs.
