And then there was the actual stay...

I checked in last night.

Room: Non-smoking. Yep, after confirming a smoking room, they had me booked in a non-smoking room.

Upgrade: Yeah, right. All sorts of better rooms available if I want to pay the room rate, but no free upgrades as a platinum.

It's still a beautiful hotel, with a very nice "executive floor" room (which I'm paying for), but I'm just as equally UNimpressed with the "platinum treatment" at the Singapore Marriott as I am *impressed* with the service on the elite reservations line.

Oh well... time to go shopping!
