Actually, even that is not true. Those of you used to NW's very liberal award rules are in for a big shock when they begin enforcing DL's routing restrictions. I suggest you bone up on rcs85551's excellent synopsis of DL's current award routing rules. It can cause significant difficulty in constructing award routings involving multiple carriers, even those far less inventive---indeed, sometimes even the only possible route---than those mentioned by posters well-schooled in extracting maximum value from the NW site.
