Looking at the reward chart, it is probably not worth it to spent them on room charges. However, it seems good for paying personal incidentals (like golf, massage...) on business trips.</font>
Why not?

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Do the cheques come in different denominations (i.e. if you order the $1000 reward - do you get a single $1000 check that you have to use in one shot?) </font>
Checques come in 25, 50, and 100. Beware that if one does not receive credit or $ back from Marriott Cheques. i.e. if you were to pay a $110 folio w/$125 in Marriott Cheques, you do not receive $15 back in any form, you lose it.

yes & yes.
