Try the Courtyard in Neuilly (Paris), it is midway between the Marriott and Renaissance. Near the American Hospital and walkable to almost anywheres. Rates are much cheaper than Marriott and about the same as Renaissance.

It is not your typical American Courtyard, more like a typical American Marriott. I have stayed at all three and now stay at the Courtyard exclusively in Paris (4-5 times a year).

While the Renaissance is cheap, I personally do like the location.
