I'm keeping an eye on my 62k seat lhr to syd booked before the policy change. If I'm shifted out of it I'll be saying goodbye to BA. If I'm to be treated like a bucket airline passenger I'll fly with a bucket airline. Don't they see that p***ing off their few remaining loyal customers will cut off future revenue? Even if you're on the verge of bankruptcy this approach is madness. If you have silver and gold card holders who are still travelling when things get really rough you do everything you can to hold on to them. You don't try to squeeze more out of them. This is what I call the 'spreadsheet mentality'. The people running things start seeing columns of numbers and forget what their business is. If BA weather the storm they're not even going to know why their 'loyal' customers have gone elsewhere.
