I sat in 44B just last week on a certain MEL-SYD flight. Actually quite a comfortable seat - full recline, stacks of legroom, was able to have a bit of a chat with the FA sitting in front of me. Door doesn't intrude in to 44A's legroom. Definitely recommended!
