I haven't been on a pilot's last flight but I saw one arrive at my gate. An Alaska Airlines pilot landed at Seattle and the company CEO and other brass were there to greet him at the gate. When he came off the plane they had balloons, applause, and gifts. His family was on the flight. A nice touch.
