I've stayed there a couple of times, but not in three years. It is quite a nice, small property. Every room has a kitchenette and breakfast is included and served in the lobby. The hotel is actually right on Blackcomb, which is great in the winter because you can walk right out of the hotel and ski down to the base to take the lift up to the top.

The one inconvenience would be in getting to the village for shopping, restaurants and nightlife. During the day you could walk down the mountain. You might get kind of tired of walking back up though - it is fairly steep. If you have a car, then you can easily drive to the village and there is plenty of free parking around. The first time I was there, the hotel offered a free shuttle service. They would drive you down to the village and then pick you up when you called. The second time I was there, I think that the service had been discontinued.

Whistler is great in the summer. It really has become a year round resort. There are many hiking trails and you also can easily rent bikes as well. There are nice lakes close by. If you like to golf, there are great courses. You can also go rafting and horse back riding in the vicinity. A good website to look at is www.whistler.net
