After changing went to the Maple Leaf lounge where I was successful in switching to an exit row on an almost full flight. That is 5 in a row on RJ's... a personal best.

Had booked on line at AC.COM in July for a October flight. The same day called in and moved it up a week. In September mistakenly double booked the same city pair. ( I never knew or forgot that My Bookings doesn't show phone changes).The 2nd booking went unused.

2 weeks later mentioned the error to a helpful Air Canada telephone agent. She suggested I email and request (beg) for a credit since the error was due to My Bookings not showing phone changes. Did that and to my surprise...
When checking my email in the lounge heard from AC that the ticket number was reinstated and I had 1 year to use up the credit.
