If you are a silver medallion on the same PNR with a Gold Medallion- both of you will be placed on the upgrade list at the lower (silver) of the elite statuses. Even for companion upgrade- they process after ALL upgrades. A non-medallion companion of a platinum on the same PNR will only get upgraded after the last silver clears (and if they are in an eligible fare class). If a silver is on the same PNR as a Platinum, they both get upgraded as silvers. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
As for Reserve card- how do you know your wife is also moved to the top of her tier? Do you ask everyone else on the upgrade list what their status/ fare class/ method of purchase is?
