I agree. The only known solution to the gate lice problem is flamethrowers. Even more fun is watching these same people when they get on the airplane. They always want to check the row numbers in first class, in case their seat (37F) is the first one on the plane, and somehow magically got much bigger. So I can easily see them thinking AA would start boarding with group 57.
Could have not said it better. I think that some of the gate lice that attempt to board with F/J like to play dumb on the hope that the GA will let them just pass, which unfortunately works quite a bit. My favorite is when they realize that those big comfy seats do not go all the way back and somehow they must have gotten ripped off by the airline.
